Proud producers
Experienced cattle producers bring practical knowledge, daily care and genuine pride to every animal in the Oishi program.
Gold Medal-winning F1 Wagyu-Angus raised by hard-working Australian producers, HGP-free, and finished for more than 400 days on a specialised grain program informed by genetic analysis.
Care for the land, respect for the animal and disciplined finishing are carried through every carton.
Oishi begins with hard-working producers who know their cattle, their country and the responsibility that comes with raising an exceptional animal. Their pride is the foundation of every cut.
The product is exceptional because the people care deeply.
Behind every carton is a producer who has invested years in genetics, animal care, land stewardship and patient decision-making. That work is visible in the consistency of the cattle and the confidence of the final product.
Oishi program cattle are HGP-free and finished for more than 400 days on a specialised grain ration. Genetic and performance analysis helps inform the feeding strategy so each cohort can express fine marbling and Oishi’s signature buttery, roasted-nut and popcorn-like flavour notes.
For chefs, retailers and import partners, producer pride becomes dependable eating quality, traceability and a product that performs across steak service, teppanyaki, yakiniku, shabu-shabu, roasting and braising.
Producer judgement, genetics, nutrition and traceability work together to create the Oishi Wagyu experience.

High-marbling Wagyu sires and carefully selected dams establish the potential for balanced growth, fine marbling and consistent eating quality.
Genetic and performance analysis informs a specialised 400+ day grain ration designed to express buttery, nutty and popcorn-like flavour notes.
Livestock declarations, feed monitoring, grading, batch records and export documentation support integrity from farm to destination.
Oishi Wagyu is not an anonymous commodity. It is the result of producers who take personal responsibility for animal care, pasture management, genetics and the thousands of small decisions that shape quality.
They work through changing seasons, watch every cohort closely and remain proud of the cattle they send forward. That producer mindset—patient, practical and uncompromising—is central to the Oishi standard.
Clean air, open grazing land and well-managed pastures give producers the environment to raise cattle calmly and deliberately. That partnership between people, animals and place carries through to the plate in tenderness, refined marbling and a distinctly clean finish.
Oishi combines Australian export controls, transparent livestock declarations and a proprietary finishing program to protect product integrity and build its signature eating experience.
Where halal-certified Oishi Wagyu is supplied, processing is undertaken at an export-registered establishment operating under the Australian Government Authorised Halal Program, with an Approved Islamic Organisation providing religious oversight and certification for the destination market.
Oishi program cattle are never treated with hormonal growth promotants. HGP status is declared through livestock documentation and preserved through batch and supply-chain traceability.
In Australian livestock declarations, “HGP-free” means the cattle have never in their lives been treated with HGPs and the declaration is supported by evidence.
About Australian HGP controlsA specialised ration is fine-tuned using genetic and performance analysis, then delivered through a 400+ day finishing program designed to support fine marbling, clean fat and a long, layered finish.
Sensory expression varies by cut, marble score, ageing and preparation; the program is designed to develop these characteristic notes rather than guarantee an identical profile in every serving.
Halal eligibility, certification, establishment listing and importing-country requirements are confirmed for each program and destination before shipment.
